Holland fc Valkyrie Cup 2026

Holland FC are extremely proud to launch their inaugural Valkyrie Cup football tournament - the only girls 11 aside format (to date) in the South of England. With initial strong interest from teams coming from Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Kent and London it promises to be a fantastic event. At a time of the year when pitches are hard to come by, why not take a trip to the seaside and couple it with some FUN grassroots football against teams you may not normally encounter. We anticipate demand to be strong across all ages and strongly suggest booking early at the extremely competive rate of £55.00 per team to avoid disappointment. Where possible, we will be looking to match teams of equal ability and make this as fun as possible so everyone goes home (or to the arcades and beach) happy. Please note that teams will be playing in age groups for the 26/27 season so make sure you select the correct age when entering. The tournament will be held across two sessions on Saturday 22nd August ‘26. AM session - U13 & U14 PM session - U15 & U16 Extract timings, including registration details, will be confirmed nearer the time. Parking is £5.00 per vehicle and can be laid with either cash or card. There will be ice cream vans, hot food/BBQ, stalls, games, official photographer and many more things to do on the day. The clubhouse will be open and there will be a licensed bar in operation. Holland FC will be operating strict controls in alcohol consumption and refuse the right to serve anyone at their discretion. Changing rooms, toilets and first aid facilities will be all be available. TOURNAMENT RULES: - NO PROFESSIONAL SIGNED ACADEMY PLAYERS ALLOWED (CAT 1 OR 2). Any team found playing someone signed to a professional academy will be disqualified from the tournament. - ⁠NO JPL teams or those that are not affiliated to a league will be allowed to enter - ALL AGES - Normal grassroots rules for 11 aside apply. Both teams must provide an assistant referee - ⁠If there is a kit clash, the away team on the fixture will be required to wear an away kit or use bibs - Teams must be ready to kick off immediately at their designated time as per app otherwise they risk forfeiting the points at the Holland FC committee discretion - Subs are roll on roll off when the ball has left the field of play - ⁠The maximum squad size will be 16 players - ⁠Game duration will be a straight 15/20 minutes and will be dependant on size of groups - ⁠All knockout games will consist of the same duration apart from the final where an extra 5 minutes will be added - ⁠All scores will be updated by the referee using the designated app - If teams are level on points during the group phase, it will be decided by goal difference then goals conceded - If we still have a tie, it will go to a penalty shootout between teams - If a knockout game results in a a draw at the end of regulation time, it will be decided by a penalty shootout (5 each). If still level, sudden death penalties will proceed until there is a winner - ⁠Any player sent off will not be permitted to play any further part in the tournament - ⁠Should there be any grievances, they are to be raised to the Holland FC committee within 10 minutes of a match ending and their decision shall be final - ⁠There will be no refunds on registration fees - ⁠All finals will be played in the stadium and all finalist sqaud members will recieve medals This is a competive tournament and there will be NO participating medals.
