The Pre-Season Sixes Tournament 2026 ⚽️🏆 Welcome Welcome to the Pre-Season Sixes Tournament. A fun, competitive grassroots football tournament designed to help teams prepare for the upcoming 2026/27 season. Important Age Group Information All age groups are based on the upcoming 2026/27 season. *Due to demand the tournament is now open to the U13 age group* Teams must enter the age group they will compete in next season. Examples: Current U8 teams should enter the U9 competition Current U9 teams should enter the U10 competition Current U10 teams should enter the U11 competition Current U11 teams should enter the U12 competition Current U12 teams should enter the U13 competition Please ensure your team is entered into the correct age group before booking. Venue 📍 Bovingdon Football Club, Green Lane, Bovingdon, Hertfordshire, HP3 0LA Onsite parking is available, please arrive in good time to avoid delays. Arrival & Kick-Off Times U9 & U10 ⏰ Arrival: 9:00am ⚽ First Match: 9:30am U11, U12 & U13 ⏰ Arrival: 1:30pm ⚽ First Match: 2:00pm Entry will open 30 minutes before the advertised arrival time. Teams are strongly advised to arrive in good time to avoid delays and allow for registration. Tournament Format 6-a-side football Maximum squad size of 10 players (4 substitutes) 10-minute matches Minimum of 6 games per team, including at least one knockout fixture Group Stage, Qualifier Stage and Knockout Stage Matches played on grass pitches Appropriate footwear must be worn Players may only represent one team during the tournament Player Eligibility 🚫 STRICTLY NO ACADEMY PLAYERS This tournament is exclusively for grassroots football teams. Any team found to have fielded an academy player may be removed from the competition.
