Greater Leys Tournament 2026 Greater Leys FC welcomes entries to our annual tournament running on Saturday 18th July 2026 at The Oxford Academy. If you notice the group you would like to join is full, please email GLFC_tournament@outlook.com. Age Groups Please enter the age group from 25/26 season. U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U13 Girls, U14, U16. Saturday AM: (10am-1:45pm) U7, U10, U12, U13 Girls, U16 Saturday PM: (2:30pm-6:30pm) U8, U9, U11, U13, U14, U14/U16 playing on 3G surface. Tournament Fee £40 per team After signing up, please ensure you have paid via bank transfer within 24hrs, otherwise we will remove your entry. Please note: refunds will not be issued if requested less than 2 weeks from the event start. Match Timings 8 minute group matches 5 minute each way (semi final and finals), 5 minutes extra time and 5 penalties (sudden death, if needed). Squad Sizes 8 maximum (6 a side) (U7/8- 5 a side + 3 subs) (U14 & U16- 7 a side + 3 Subs - '9 a side' pitch size - No Offsides) 2 guest players are allowed per team. NOTE: AFFILIATED CLUBS/TEAMS ONLY. NO ACADEMY, JPL or NATIONAL TALENT ID CENTRE TEAMS ARE PERMITTED TO PLAY/SIGN UP. All teams will play group and knockout tournament format. Except for U7 and U8 who will play a round robin fair play group matches. All U7 & U8 players will receive medals and the fairest playing side will win the Fair Play Trophy. All other ages: Winners and Runners Up in each plate and cup section will recieve medals and a trophy for the winners. See further rules in the attachments below. Team Registration Please confirm your team has arrived as soon as possible on the day to the registration tent. At this time, please provide the Team Registration Form. Managers meetings will take place at this location. Please check the times below for further details. Please bring along a copy of your Player Registration form. Match Balls Teams named first in the fixture (Home Team) provides the match ball for each fixture. First Aid All teams are expected to provide their own first aid kit and have a suitably qualified first aider to support with injuries. There will be qualified first aiders from Greater Leys FC available to assist when required. Parking Parking is limited inside the school grounds. Please use all available street parking along Sandy Lane West. Additional parking can be found in the Business Park next to the school itself. Parking Marshals will be available on the day to support. Please do not park in restricted areas or on double yellow lines. Entry Fees £3 for all adults. Children Free. Card and Cash Accepted. Please pay on entry to the field. Photography We will be using a photo company on the day, where you will be able to purchase photos taken for a fee. Please note that we will be using photos taken by club officials on our social media channels. Refreshments Hot and cold food and drink options will be available to purchase on the day via our tuck shop. Alongside other food and beverage vans (Ice Cream etc.) which will be in attendance. Cash and Card accepted. Litter Please help us keep the site tidy by using litter bins and bin bags provided to all teams throughout the day. Pets Unfortunately, no pets are not allowed on school grounds. Further General Information Toilets are located inside the main entrance of the school, in the reception area or as signposted.
