Welcome to the Tony Moss Cup 2026! Tony was a long-serving coach and scout in the Academy, a popular colleague, and a friend to many of us. In March 2020, Tony sadly lost his brave battle with cancer, and he is dearly missed. He spent a decade working in the Academy as a coach and scout, having previously held similar roles at both Crystal Palace and Fulham. As a lifelong Chelsea fan, Tony was passionate about developing young players — not only as footballers but also as people. In May 2021, the Academy hosted the inaugural Memorial Cup to celebrate Tony’s legacy. Since then, the 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 tournaments have grown in size and reputation. We are delighted to welcome you back to Cobham Training Ground for the 2026 edition, as we continue to remember and honour a great man. Tournament Schedule Arrival: 09:00 Opening Ceremony: 10:00 Kick-Off: 10:30 Presentation: 14:00 Departure: 14:30 Tournament Format Match Format: 7v7 Group & Placing Games: 12 minutes Semi-Finals & Final: 12 minutes Minimum Playing Time: Each team is guaranteed at least 96 minutes (max. 120 minutes) Cumulative Points Rule The tournament will be played on a cumulative points basis, with U9 and U10 club (4 teams) results combined to determine overall group positions. Example: U9 team finishes with 15 points U10 team finishes with 7 points Club total = 22 points In the knockout stages, U9 and U10 teams will play their fixtures side by side, with results combined to form a cumulative score. Example: U9 result: Won 3–2 U10 result: Lost 0–2 Combined score = 3–4 → opposition progresses This system will also apply in the final. In the event of a cumulative draw at full time: If the semi final or final result in a draw at the end of normal time, a single penalty shoot-out will decide the winner (alternating players from each age group). Please note: due to the complex nature of this format, Tournify will not be updated beyond the group stage. Fixture announcements (including pitch allocations) will be made on-site. Key Information for Visitors Spectators: Welcome to attend - A spectator form will be shared by your club, only those that complete this form will be allowed on site Dogs: Not permitted on site. Parking: There is no parking at the training ground. Parking is available at Cobham & Stoke D’Abernon Station car park (Station Road, KT11 3BW). Staff will direct you to the training ground via a short walk through a private entrance.
